Steps towards filming atoms dancing - Free-electron lasers offer the opportunity to film dances of atoms in molecules and in chemical reactions. An international team of scientists, which includes the participation of researchers from the DIPC and UPV/EHU, has now developed a measurement technique that provides the necessary complete temporal characterization of the laser pulses.
