Quantum 'kisses 'change the color of space - Researchers from the DIPC and the CFM in Donostia-San Sebastián have observed for the first time with optical methods the quantum regime in the interaction between nano-sized spheres of gold thanks to the change of color of the gap or space between these particles when these are at distances of less than one nanometer. This work, published in Nature journal, enables literally "seeing" a quantum kiss between nanoparticles.(10.1038/nature11653)
